New Writer On the Bloc!

SWAL & LFA awards winner journalist Roland M. Mulbah
 

Roland M. Mulbah is a rising Liberian journalist with major emphasis in sports journalism.

He is currently the senior reporter at two of Liberia’s best sports dailies, Champions Sports and SportsDay.
 

Roland was encouraged to join the field of journalist by veteran Liberian sports analyst, Mr. Wleh N. Bedell whom he considered his idol.
 

Mulbah is currently the 2008 Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) sports columnist of the year award winner.
 

He was praised by top rated Liberian journalists including Malcolm W. Joseph and Zoegar Jaynes on November 29, 2008 during SWAL awards’ night when he was named SWAL sports columnist of the year due to superb reporting on Liberian athletics in his column “STAR ZONE” when he was at another top rated Sports daily, SportsMax.
 

Due to his balanced and accurate reporting of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2008 national league, the gem in this noble field of journalism was name reporter of the year by the local football house, the award he took on Monday, March 16, 2009 during the official closing program of the LFA held at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on UN Drive in Monrovia.
 

Recently, he was recommended to www.liberiansoccer.com by Mr. Bedell as the “new writer on the bloc due to his accurate and balanced reporting.
 

“I will not be complacent with the little I have acquired, but I feel there are still rooms for more awards and recommendations.
 

“I want to be grateful to my role model Mr. Bedell for such recommendation and I can assure him I will live up to the trust he has in me,” the young journalist noted in a rather positive tone.
