Remarkable young Liberian journalist, Roland M. Mulbah, who writes for
SportsDay, Champions Sports and www.liberiansoccer.com as senior
Reporter has won a major award in Dakar, Senegal.
Mulbah, who is currently the best print media journalist of the
Liberia football Association (LFA), as well as Assistant secretary
General of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL), won the
award after scoring the highest marking in the first test (20)
questions given by Rome based English journalist, Barnaby Chesterman,
who is the instructor for the top rated journalist course organized by
Agence France Presse (AFP) and FIFA.
The young pen pusher was given a giant sized football magazine as gift
from APF and FIFA.
“This is just the beginning. There are several awards to be won here.
We want to put SWAL on the map in sports journalism in Africa,” award
winner Roland M. Mulbah noted in a happier manner.
Gambia’s Lamin Grammeh of Point Newspaper won the second place, while
Liberia’s Fomah Kanneh, who is also the Vice President for SWAL
secured third place.
