Mulbah & Stephens Win Journalist Award!

 Champions Sports, SportsDay and www.liberiansoccer.com Senior Reporter, Roland M. Mulbah and Star Radio Sports presenter, Anthony Stephens were awarded journalists of the year by the International Associations of Athletics Federation (IAAF)..

The due were awarded on Saturday, May 23, 2009 but picked up the award during the course of the week due to their assiduous reportages on the world Athletics day celebration held in Liberia on May 22 and 23, 2009 as well as activities of the Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) for the year 2008/2009.

Mulbah, who won the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) sports columnist of the year as well as the Liberia Football Association (LFA) journalist of the year 2008/2009, was name print media journalist of the year, while Stephens, who is considered the fastest improved journalist of our time, won the award as Electronic (Radio) journalist of the year.

 Both young Liberian journalists are key members of SWAL and are noted for not only reporting football, but other sports as well.

 Mulbah is a junior student at the University of Liberia, while Stephens a 2008 graduate of the Jireh International School of Journalism.

“I must say many thanks to the Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) for recognizing our works and gave us such prestigious awards.
