The Deputy Coach of the National Football Team of Liberia, Lone Star, Thomas Kojo says Liberia last African Nations Cup Qualifying match against Mali will serve as another form of hard training for the National team ahead of Brazil 2014 World Cup preliminary home and away matches against Mauritius in November.

Speaking after Lone Star practice match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia, Mr. Kojo said though Liberia has dropped from the Nations Cup, the country still has the chance of qualifying to the World Cup if they can pull a win against Mauritius.

"Liberia has great coaches who can do the work and we are ready to do better this time around, and if we lost the chances of qualifying to the 2014 World Cup, it mains Liberia will be out of action for a very long time", lamented Kojo.

The Technical Staff of the National team is planning to invite five foreign based players to join the local home based players for Liberia encounter with Mail this Saturday. The players include Captain Anthony Laffor, Sekou Jabateh Oliseh, Ansu Touer, Alseny Keita and Jimmy Dixon.

If Liberia wins against Mali despite being eliminated from the Qualifying rounds of the Nations Cup, many football supporters believe that defeating Mauritius in November in the two legs for Brazil 2014 World Cup will be high on the team’s agenda in the preliminary matches.

If all goes well against Mauritius, Liberia stands the chance of joining the likes of Senegal, Angola and Uganda to battle for a qualifying spot in the World biggest football Competition slated to take place in Brazil 2014.
