 Malcolm Takes Over Haja FC

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

Liberian journalist Malcolm W. Joseph was elected president of division two side Haja FC last Saturday in Barnersville.

He also heads the basketball club, Cestos Mogars.

The election process was witnessed by the Secretary-General of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), George Williams.

In his induction speech, Mr. Joseph was grateful that members of Haja would unanimously elect him in its quest to deliver football through the younger ones.

He vowed to do his best in lifting up the team and that he counts on the supporters, members and residents of Barnersville for support.

The former Press Union of Liberia (PUL) executive promised to unveil a special package for the direct benefit of the players if they qualify for the first division.

The club was founded in April 1995 as Children Star before being renamed Haja FC three years later. It qualified for the second division in 1999.

Haja FC has produced the likes of James Koko Lommel, and Abraham Karmo alias "Base Kellie."
