Preparations for the Warriors’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away match to Liberia went a gear up Tuesday with more foreign-based players joining camp.

The foreign-based trio of Edward Sadomba, Quincy Antipas and Justice Majabvi trooped into camp yesterday from their bases in Sudan, Denmark and Austria, respectively.

England-based Onismor Bhasera was expected in the country last night while Noel Kaseke, who plies his trade in the Cypriot league, is expected to jet into the country Wednesday.

The Warriors yesterday conducted their training session under the watchful eye of caretaker coach Norman Mapeza and Joey Antipas.

The new caretaker team manager Christopher Chitindi and the Zifa technical advisor, Klaus-Dieter Pagels, watched from the sidelines.

The only players to miss yesterday’s training session were Benjamin Marere and Clemence Matawu who are both expected to join the rest of their teammates in full training today. The players did light training sessions under the supervision of team doctor Edward Chagonda.

Coach Mapeza commended the players for showing great commitment to the national cause by coming from their bases early.

“The preparations are going according to our plans and I’m happy with the way they have been coming in from their bases. It shows how committed they are and it is making our job, as the technical team, a lot less complicated.

“The only player who has been ruled out of this tie is Nhamoinesu (Costa) and we have replaced him with young Qadr Amini.
