Releases Financial Report

…For Female U-20 Fund Drive
The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) in collaboration with the
Liberia Football Association (LFA) has released the financial report
of the national mobilization and fund drive for the Lone Star U-20
female team.
According to the report signed by the head of the mobilization
committee, Cllr. Jamesetta Howard-Wolokollie, business establishments
in Monrovia contributed US$ 8,000.00 and LD$ 25,000.00, respectively.
Companies that contributed include Reelin, US$500, NPA, US$ 3,000, and
Jeety Trading, LD$ 25,000, while LFA contributed US$ 3,500, and LISCR
US$ 1,000.
The report stated that LD$ 94,000 was realized from the special
basketball tournament that was organized to
raise funds for the team, while US$ 1,000 was received from personal
contributions.
Mr. John Woods of the Forestry Development Authority, Mr. Willie
Knuckles of Public Works, Mr. Mohammed Bassma and Mr. Jamal Bassma of
Africa Motors donated US$100 each, while Mr. Siaka Sheriff and Mr.
Harry Greaves both of LPRC contributed US$200 each.
The report further stated that a total of US$ 9,010 and LD$ 122,850
was collected as cash intake from the national mobilization.
On the issue of expenditure, the report explained that LD$ 5,600 and
US$ 225 went toward publicity, while US$ 172.95 was spent on gasoline.
A total expenditure of US$ 11, 593.33 and LD$ 97, 498 was incurred,
resulting in a deficit of US$ 2,130.63
