MYS Assessing Sporting Facilities

Minister Richards meets with sports director of Sinje, Oscar Butler

The Deputy Minister for Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Marbue Richard is expected to leave the capital on Friday for Bomi County as part of their assessment visits to the various counties in the country.

A release issued by the Ministry on Wednesday said during his one day visit to Bomi County he will meet with county officials, head of sporting institutions and community leaders.

He will also be given the opportunity to tour all sporting facilities. On April 23, Minister Richard and the Director of Sports, Navaro Saykie visited Grand Cape Mount County where they met with Acting Superintendent Eric V. Pinney and county officials.

During the visit, an exhibition football match was played at the Momo Taweh Stadium between Sinje High School and Episcopal High School.

As part of the Grand Cape Mount County’s support toward youth development through sports, Acting Superintendent Pinneh disclosed that four acres of land will be made available for sporting activities.

The Deputy Minister of Sports has already began visiting various communities in Montserado County, including West Point, Gardnersville and Bannersville.
