Louis Crayton arrives in Liberia

Liberian international goalkeeper Louis Crayton has arrived in the country. The player arrived in the country on Monday ahead of the Lone Star Nations Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea on September 3.
Crayton is among nine foreign-based players invited by the technical staff.

Midfielder Kelvin Sebwe is due to arrive in the country on Wednesday.

Francis " Grandpa " Doe will not be in Monrovia for this game. It is being reported at his club's website that " Francis Doe should join the national team of Liberia between 3-7 September, but the player is injured and will stay in Athens."

Five Indonesian based players named the technical staff are already in the country.

In other News Liberian international Oliver Makor has led his club to an important and shock league win in Greece.

The Liberian set up the winning goal in his club Ionikos 2-0 win over high-flyer Panathinakos.

The win has given Ionikos 4 points from two games. Panathinakos is one of Greece’s representatives in this year’s European Champions League.

Oliver Makor who is captain for Ionikos told LiberianSoccer.com, the win was significant for them particularly at the start of the season.

Makor said the club is hoping to at least secure a UEFA Cup place at the end of the season.

Makor finished top scorer of the club last season with 10 goals. He said he hoped to repeat last season’s performance.
