Liberia is to shortly get another foreign coach. The coach would arrive in the country following the conclusion of an arrangement between the Liberia Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The South African Firm that has a sponsor agreement with the LFA, DITIRO is to hire the services of the coach.

An official of DITIRO Yanqueh Borsay told Star Radio his organization would pay the salaries and other allowances of the coach.

Mr.Borsay said the hiring of the coach for the national team was part of the sponsorship agreement.

He said the coach is a Russian who is based in South Africa and has coached many teams in that country.

However, Mr.Borsay failed to disclose the name of the Russian Coach.

He said as soon as the LFA and the Sports Ministry complete the revision of the coach curriculum vitae, they would fly him into Liberia.

The latest pronouncement by DITIRO followed the abrupt departure of an Egyptian coach who came to the country through a bilateral arrangement.

It is hoped that the Sports Ministry and the football hose who speed up the revision of the coach’s CV so that he could help guide the Lone Star in its 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
