Lone Star continues preparation

by Horatio Bobby Willie
Thursday, 24 August 2006

The National Soccer team, the Lone Star continued its preparation for the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying series on Tuesday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

The Lone Star went down to second division club Exodus FC 1-0 after close to two hours of football.

The defeat was a disappointing performance by the local lone star. The team showed lack of proper finishing and did not control properly in the midfield during most part of the game.

The defeat was the local team second to a club team in less than a week. They suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of premier league leaders Mighty Barrolle last week.

The Lone Star will on Thursday play a friendly against the country’s Indonesia based professional players.
