committee finally makes report

The Lone Star Mobilization Committee has officially made its report to
the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
A copy of the report in the possession of this station shows the
Committee raised about four hundred, Seventy-five thousand, four
hundred forty- one United States Dollars for the period April to
December 31, 2008.
According to the report, the money accumulated came from match
sponsorship, gate intake, television rights and other contributions.
The report further pointed out that the committee expended five
hundred twenty three thousand- two United States dollars, with an
excess amount of forty-seven thousand United States dollars.
Among the expenses the committee said it expended 34 thousand forty
nine United States dollars on match officials and 37 thousand, four
hundred eighty-eight United States dollars respectively on match
related issues.
Seventy-nine thousand, four hundred eighty-eight United States dollars
are believed to be used for the accommodation and feeding of the Lone
Star.
The report has also indicated that fifty-seven thousand, five hundred,
twenty five United States dollars were expended on the salaries of the
technical staff of the Lone Star.
The Lone Star Mobilization committee was appointed in April of 2008 to
galvanize support for the National soccer team participation in the
joint African Nations Cup and World Cup first round of qualifiers.
There have been calls in many quarters of the public for the
publication of the report by the mobilization committee
