Lone Star Fund Drive Begins Wed.

The Lone Star Fund Raising Committee will launch the Lone Star Fund Drive on Wednesday, December 17.

The Lone Star Fund Drive is expected to be launched by NTGL Chairman Gyude Bryant.

The Committee Chairman Mrs. Joyce Reeves-Woods was quoted by a release as saying that personalities such as UNMIL boss Jacques Klein, US Ambassador John Blaney and House Speaker George Dweh are those expected to grace the occasion.

The release pointed out that the committee has been mandated by the Youth and Sports Ministry to mobilize and solicit support for the Lone Star ahead of the group phase of the 2006 World Cup and Nations Cup.

According to the release, a parade will begin from the Monrovia City Hall and ends at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
