3/ 12/ 2004 Monrovia-In another effort aimed at ensuring that the National football team, the Lone Star qualifies for the 2006 World and African Cups, the Lone  Star Fund Drive Committee has given the team 10 balls for training purposes.

The chairperson of the Fund Drive Committee, Mrs. Joyce Reeves Woods said it was important that such donation was made to the team to ensure that the team trains well.

Receiving the balls, coach Kadalah thanked the Committee and said they will be used for the intended purpose.

Meanwhile, coach Kromah has disclosed the Sports Ministry is yet to pay them their January and February salaries. He said if they are not paid, they could lay their training materials.

In another development, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has said that funds are yet to be disbursed to them since approval by Chairman Bryant.

Observers see this move a stumbling block that could impeded the training exercises of the Lone Star. They are therefore calling on sports authorities to do everything possible to ensure smooth sailing.
