Lomell Shines Against Pirates














Former LPRC-Oilers inventive playmaker James Koko Lomell on Saturday, proved his worth against top PSL side Orlando Pirates in a pre season fixture in Johannesburg. The player who is said to be the new pick in the pack for Mvela Golden League outfit FCAK rattled the net once and had a hand in another goal as his side triumphed over the much fancy opponents3-2.

Zambian international Issac Chanza who stiffened the Buccaneers side got on the back foot early on as FCAK announced their intention with an array of attacks.

Former pirates hit man Tshabalala broke the deadlock after 19 minutes before the former African champions leveled the score to end the half 1-1. During the second stanza, Pirates fired on as their efforts paid dividends in rotating the score line to 2-1 in their favor after 62 minutes. Lomell the four times Golden boot winner in pre season competitions then took the mantle of attack as he made inroads. His swerving shot from a wide position bewildered the opponents' goalie to enable his side restore parity ten minutes later.

And then on the dot he body swerved his way pass two opponents to set up team mate Enoch Mulenga who slotted the ball pass the goalie.

After the match, Coach Ian Palmer told www.FCAK.com that he was impressed with his boys, and that he was impressed with his side performance especially against a premier outfit
