Lomell Joins Israeli Club

Controversial player James Koko Lomell has joined Israeli top flight outfit Hapoel Petah Tikva FC. According to the player's listing on the club's website, the name offensive midfielder cum striker is listed. However, there is no jersey number assigned to the player as of yet.

This means Lomell has joined fellow international George Gebro at the club. Gebro who had a trial with the club before the close of last season, has since being assigned jersey number 17.

Lomell who recently left for Israel last played in the modest Indonesian league with Palita Jaya.
His career has been marred by controversies, as he reportedly escaped from South Africa to Indonesia a couple of years ago after being in the fold of First Division side FC AK.

The player who is surprisingly 23 years old (October 16, 1985) reportedly failed trail in Turkey before the start of last season after a deal by the then national team German coach Antoine Hey did not materialize due to the player's then poor form.
