Lofa and Grand Bassa Thru to Next Round of the County Meet

The loosing finalist in the last county meet has secured a place in the 2nd round of the competition.


Lofa County did so on Sunday when Nimba County held them to a draw in Sanniquelle.  Lofa went ahead twice through goals from Lamin Dolley and Prince Weah.

However, Nimba restored the hope of their fans with two late goals.

In kickball, Lofa’s dream of qualifying was dashed after Nimba County narrowly defeated her 13-to18 home runs.

Elsewhere, Montserrado suffered her second defeat in the 2006 National County meet. Grand Bassa buried Montserrado 2 goals to 0. Osafa Vah was on target for Bassa.

Sinoe County defeated Grand Gedeh 1-0 in football on Sunday. Sinoe also got a 16 to 1 point victory over Grand Gedeh in kickball.

The game was played in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County
Rivercess whipped Margibi County 1 goal to 0.
In kickball, Margibi beat Rivercess.
