Liyonet Backs Ballah's SG Bid
August 13, 2006
The National Animator of the Liberia Youth Network LIYONET Mr.
Mawolo T. Kpadeh says he support the nomination of former Millennium
Star President John Rufu Ballah as Secretary General of the Liberia
Football Association (LFA).
According to LIYONET boss Mr. Ballah has the technique and
administrative skill in running the local football house.
He argue that former Millennium President has vital experience and
has held several administrative position and only needed to be
giving a chance for the good of the game.
Liberia Football Association (LFA) boss Sombo Izetta Wesley,
recently nominated the former Millennium FC president John Rufus
Ballah for the position of Secretary General of the local football
house.
This is in pursuit of madam Wesley's urge to settle the vacancy
problem at the LFA after the exit of Yanqueh Borsay.
Ballah nomination by the "Iron Lady" is the second after Executive
Committee member rejected P.G.Wright Mr. Ballah is currently in the
account section of the LFA, and many are pondering as to whether he
can surmount the arduous task of effectively heading the
Secretariat.
Like the exited Borsay and the rejected P.G.Wright, Ballah is said
to be a crony of Madam Wesley with many eyebrows being raised on his
nomination.
"Will he not be a remote type chief scribe", asked Jeremiah Suleh
who calls himself a soccer follower.
Mr. Ballah, who turns 42 in 86 days time has a BBA in Accounting
from the University of Liberia, also has a diploma in Accounting
from the institute of professional studies, and served as Accountant
of the LFA from 2004-2005.
Pundits say since Mr. Ballah is a highly erudite Accountant, it
would be prudent to appoint him as treasurer instead of heading the
secretariat which is highly delicate and reputable.
They believe that as the country yearns for progress in the new
football dispensation, one heading the Secretariat should be abreast
with the dialectics of contemporary football.
At the same time Mr. Mawolo T. Kpadeh has frond on those who are
pursing the impeachment of Mr. Adeyoumie Caulcrick are not in the
interest of improving the National football program in the country.
He noted that sports should be use to unite people, instead of
building boundaries between people.
