Liberia's Dioh Williams is top scorer for his
Swedish club BK Hacken
Three Liberian internationals have helped Swedish club BK Hacken
return to the Premiership.
Striker Dioh Williams, midfielder Dulee Johnson and defender Jimmy
Dixon were key players in the club's promotion campaign.
The trio helped the club to 19 victories and eight draws, with just
three losses throughout the season.
Young striker Williams is the club's top scorer with 16 goals - a
repeat of the number he grabbed last year when Hacken narrowly
missed out on promotion.
"They are high quality players with great talent and good
technique," said coach Jorgen Leannartsson.
"Dixon is strong in the air and very hard to beat in a one-on-one
situation.
"Dulee is a fast player with excellent passing skills while Dioh,
whom fans have nicknamed Gothenburg's Thierry Henry, is a fantastic
dribbler and finisher."
Williams came off the bench to score the winner in their 3-2 victory
over Atvidabers FF that clinched Hacken's promotion on 17 October.
"Playing in the Premiership next season will give us the opportunity
to prove that we can make it at the top level," Williams said.
Dixon sees the promotion as a dream come true.
"When I came to Sweden I first played for a fourth division side and
helped them to the third division.
"Now I have helped my latest club to the Premiership.
"I am certain that we are going to make a big impact next season,"
he said.
Johnson, the only member of the Liberian trio that played for Hacken
the last time they were in the Premiership in 2001, is also full of
confidence.
"We're a young team with a lot of dedicated players. We will not be
pushovers next year," he said.
