Liberian Josiah Seaton signs Pahang

By PRITAM SINGH
Dec 10:

COLOURFUL Bernard Tchoutang and new-signing, Liberian Josiah Seaton, will have to display their predatory instincts if Pahang are to tame Selangor in this enticing Malaysian Super League encounter at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tonight.

The former Cameroon star was an instant hero with the local fans with his darting runs and lethal finishing that earned him 15 goals last season.

Seaton had a successful outing with Sabah for two seasons before the MSL. He was also the top scorer in the Canadian League.

However, both players have yet to forge an understanding but they must get their act together if the Elephants are to overpower the mighty Red Giants tonight.

Both players are aware of the significance of the match.

“Having lost to Negri Sembilan, it is extremely important for us to win against Selangor but it is not going to be easy as Selangor themselves have to win,” said Tchoutang.

“We will have to be sharper up front and take our chances which we failed to do against Negri.

“Hopefully, I will be able to score but what is more important is a win regardless of who scores,” he added.

Seaton, who only joined the team recently, knows what is expected of him.

“I have been hired to score goals and that is what I intend to do.

“I am beginning to settle down, and now I have a better understanding with the rest of the players.”

Negri edged Pahang 1-0 while Perak thrashed Selangor 4-1 in the Chaity Shield in their opening matches.
