Liberian Coaches Receive CAF Certificates

The Liberia Football Association is expected to kickoff its
national league here with 40 ‘C’ Certificate coaches in
compliance with the Confederation of African Football (CAF’s)
recommendation
A release from the local football house says the LFA has met
CAF’s standards, with 40 of its coaches successfully
completing a CAF-sponsored training here in October.
The course, conducted by veteran Ghanaian tactician Prof.
Fred Osam Duodu, brought together 40 participants from the
various local leagues under the LFA. The training lasted for
five days, covering both theoretical and practical
exercises. In its quest to enhance football development in
the country, the LFA is striving to harmonize standards for
coaches.
The football house under the leadership of Musa Bility
promised to explore all avenues to improve the capacity of
athletes and other football officials, including referees,
coaches, medics and administrators, among others.
The training was in fulfillment of CAF’s requirements that a
minimum of “C” license be acquired by local coaches to meet
its standards for coaching duties in CAF leagues. Meeting a
cardinal CAF requirement just a week to the commencement of
the 2011/2012 national Cellcom league is a boast for the
Bility Administration.
Beneficiaries of the training include: Gborboe T. Glinwon,
Abraham S. Williams, George G. Doe Sr., M. Kennedy Musue,
Jenkins S. Doe, Matth |
