Liberia has made major moves in world football’s latest rankings for
the month of October.
According to the rankings published by the World Football Body, FIFA,
Liberia has moved 31 places above in the ranking. The country jumped
form 143 in the world to 112th.
The massive improvement in the country’s October rankings was due to
the Lone Star impressive 3-2 win over Rwanda on October 8 in
Monrovia.
The latest rankings have also seen Liberia moved up 11 places in
Africa. In September, Liberia was ranked at the 41st position on the
African continent but October has seen the country moved to number
30.
Liberia gained a total of 229 points to achieve the new feat in the
FIFA rankings.
Rwanda who was above Liberia last month has dropped two places
below. Rwanda is ranked at 114th in the world and 31 in Africa.
