June 18, 2004 -
Liberia goes into action Sunday in far away Port Noire against Congo-Brazzaville Red Devils clinching to soaring anticipations after that lone goal victory over a solid Malian side on June 6.

The Congolese are keen of the damages that their Liberian opponents might pose, and with their last 6-1 drubbing still lingering on their minds, Sunday World Cup qualifiers clash has so much to offer.

Yet a well-groomed and formidable side, the Liberian team boosts some quality legs whose contributions with that of the aging generation could earn them another spoiler.

Coach Kromah must re-arrange his line-up that messed Mali in Monrovia following reports that four essential and experience players might not be available.

James Debbah, a long-time campaigner, according to reports, might not fly into Port Noire where he sustained an excruciating ligament three years.

Asian-exports Frank Seator and Fallah Johnson, the reports also disclosed, will choose club over country this weekend.

Prince Daye would have been a virus in the Liberian attacker holding to his familiarity with the Congolese defense, which he fearlessly dented to score a 1-0 win when the teams last met.

But the Deportivo Badjoz striker didn’t only under perform against the Malians, he also picked up an injury that might sideline him.

Nevertheless, the cards are being reshuffled with the inclusion of US-based debutant Francis Doe and fasting-catching Dioh Williams who established himself as the hub in Liberia win against Mali .

Even though there are doubts over Zizi Roberts and Dulee Johnson comeback, which could have spoken volume for the Liberian team, determined faces as Ben Teekloh, Tony Langford, Jimmy Dixon and Alvin Kieh would be on hand for Sunday’s encounter.

Liberia ranks second behind Senegal that soaked Congo-Brazzaville 2-0 in Dakar a forth night ago.

And with a cliché – nothing good comes out of Liberia , this unpredictable squad that always plays the spoiler could never be ruled out even away from home soil.
