Liberia’s Anthony Laffor grabbed a brace on Wednesday evening in his
club Supersport United impressive league victory at the Dobsonville
Stadium.
Supersport dragged Moroka Swallows 3-0 in what was practically a one
sided affair before their home fans.
The match was in continuation of the South African Absa Premiership.
The jamboree started with the rain pouring down thus making it an
unpretty match but United were the more efficient side and had most of
the opportunities against a disappointing Swallows and always looked
the winners.
According to the club’s official website, Laffor began his goal
scoring exploit in the 1st minute of the match from a wonderful scene.
Laffor beautifully struck a teammate pass as his effort sailed over
the head of Swallows keeper Greg Etafia and went into the top corner
at the far post.
The Liberian International collected his brace 10 minutes from time
when he lobbed successfully into the goal after the Swallows defense
was caught square.
Anthony Laffor now has five goals to his credit so far and is putting
behind him the goal drought he experienced in the early part of the
season.
The result allows Supersport United to stay on course for a third
successive Absa Premiership title and are now seven points clear at
the top of the table.
Supersport United has collected 41 points from 20 games played already
this season.
