LPRC Oilers Given Senegalese Opponent

The reigning Liberian champions LPRC Oilers will face Diaraf Dakar of Senegal in the 2006 Confederation of African Football (CAF) 2006 Champions League.

The draw for the CAF Champions League, which is the premier club competition in Africa, was released by the African football governing body.

Coached by the former Lone Star head caoch Kadala Kromah, the LPRC Oilers will be among sixty teams from across Africa that will feature in the first round of the competition.

The first leg will take place in Monrovia at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) between February 17 to 19 in while the second leg will fall between March 3 to 5, 2006 in Dakar.

If the Liberian premier league champions overcome their counterparts from Senegal, they are to face either Mangasport of Gabon or two-time winner Enyimba in the second round. Mangasport and Enyimba are facing each other in round one.
