In LBF League:
LPRC Oilers Avenge On Mighty Barrolle

-As Uhuru Kings Steal IE’s Show

It was one of the best games to be played at the Sports Commission in recent times, when LPRC Oilers and Mighty Barrolle took on each other in the LBF League.

The match was Oilers’ last in the regular season and needed to win to put herself in a good position to avoid meeting a stronger team in the play-off.

The Sensational Oilers had to do everything to win, but Barrolle was not an easy nut to crack. Parading their regular squad of Barchue Toure, Vessaillie Yarkpazuo, Porte, Philip Kperue, Charles Cummings, Kiawu, Exodus Gant, among others, Oilers put up a tough resistance from start to finish.

On the other hand, Mighty Barrolle, featuring Richard Martin, Jethro Bing, Reuben Marshall, Emmanuel Potter, Otis Nyanneh, Desmond Johnson, among others performed to expectation for almost the entire game except in the last quarter when things went bad for them.

Emmanuel Potter controlled proceedings well for Barrolle, while Barcheu Toure did likewise for LPRC Oilers. But due to the work rate of center Porte and Vesaillie Yarkpazuo, Oilers was able to over power Mighty Barrolle.

The victory for Oilers means the Oil Boys have avenged the defeat they suffered in the first phase of the league at Barrolle’s hand. Both teams have already qualified for the play-offs, while they are expected to be joined by NPA Pythons and Uhuru Kings.

In fact the four teams are only playing now for position to determine who meets whom.

The first game yesterday saw Royal Legends beating Sacbase, 87-65 points.

In other weekend clashes, K-Deltas beat Timberwolves in the female division with Lovetta Bailey and Amie Weah scoring significant points.

On Saturday, T-Chons broke Stephen Tolbert Estate Flames unbeaten record with 81-80 points victory in the first division. The second game saw Uhuru King stealing the show from IE in the last quarter to win the vital points. The match ended 68-67 points.
