LONE STAR READY FOR THE MALIANS

The National Soccer Team of Liberia  " The Lone Stars" have refused to except that they are out of the ongoing Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers.
 
Despite the poor showings in previous matches , and the refusal of the Ministry of Sports to recall Liberian Foreign Legion. The team has vowed to put up a strong fight on Sunday  in Seagou.

The Lone Stars will face the Eagles of Mali on Sunday at 1800 hrs GMT in Seagou, Mali.

Under the tutelage of embattled Coach Joseph Sion " Kofi Bruce" and Wilfred Lardner,  the task of beating the Malians on home soil will be an interesting dilemma.

The Liberian National Team will field a core of players from the ongoing LFA National League. Donning the Red , White and Blue will be neophytes To the international soccer arena.

The list of players for this encounter include Rufus Salue, Prince Garwo, Varmah Kpoto, Patrick Granue, Aloycious Pennie, Sackie Doe , Abu Sando, Melvin King, Bill Paytoe, James Lommel, Saylee Swen, Miller and Gizzie Dorbor.

The Lone Star will feature three foreign based players. Goffrey Miller from the USA, Martin Toe from the UAE and Sekou Keita who is plies his trade in Senegal.
 
The four referees for the match are all from Burkina Faso, while the referee inspector and match commissioner are from Morocco and Guinea respectively.
 
The Sports Minister Cllr. Wheaton Dixon Barnes and LFA Executive member Mohamed Sheriff  Accompany the team to Mali for this encounter of the cellar dwellers of zone I. Former Chief Referee Idrissa Kaba is also on the official delegation.

 Since the team Arrived in Bamako on Wednesday, the coaching staff have put them thru training twice a day , trying to make up for lost time because of the Lone Star coaching chaos. .
