LISCR On Recruiting Spree

Premiership champions LISCR FC’s preparations for the next
season, as well as its international fixture in the CAF
champions league is receiving huge attentions from its
technical staff under the leadership of veteran coach Frank
Jericho Nagbe.
The team’s build-up occasioned the recruitment of former
Watanga FC attacking machine Gideon Williams to replace
Golden Boot holder Vatalis Sie who is currently playing in
the Israeli national league for Hapoel Nazareth Illit.
Gideon Williams recently traveled with the team to Sierra
Leone where he participated in an International Youth
Tournament, winning the Most Value Player award that
impressed club president Mustapha Ragi.
Although the club’s calculation of exporting Patrick Wreh
did not work out after he was unable to secure a deal from a
tryout in South Africa, LISCR FC still went ahead to sign
the former Watanga man.
The departure of Eddie Wulu to newly promoted first Division
FC Fassell compared LIRSC FC to recruit defender Alexander
Dargbe of NPA Anchors to aid former Mighty Barolle’s Michael
Jesaue in the middle.
The club managed to pocket More than a Thousand Dollars from
newly promoted first division side FC Fassell during the
transaction for Eddie Wulu. Former Mighty Barrolle’s winger
Archie Harvey downplayed the offer from the premiership
champions because of Monrovia FC’s attractive package.
Defender Emmanuel Tarpeh remains LISCR’s sweeper, and will
be in partnership with some of the new defenders expected to
join the club. Barolle’s Hali Lahi is said to be a major
target for coach Jericho Nagbe before the league kicks off
or the close of the transfer windows.
Lone Star’s forward Patrick Wreh and premiership 2009 first
phase top goal netter Mohammad Varney remain the club’s
point strikers. They will be at the receiving end of Gideon
Williams from the attacking session of the midfield.
