LISCR Not Impressive!

Lone Star & LISCR FC Captain Murphy Nagbe
looks sad after scoring an own goal

Mustapha I. Raji’s LISCR FC continued her unimpressive performance of the current Liberia Football Association (LFA) premier league when the team settled to a 2-2 draw with bottom of the table outfit, Devereux FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia on Thursday, May 28, 2009.

Customer of the net Vitalis Sieh drew first blood, but Captain Murphy Komonple Nagbe equalized for Devereux FC with an on goal to end the first stanza 1-1.

Back from recess, the kids mounted more pressure in an attempt to secure their first win of the season, but substitute Patrick “Ronaldinho” Wleh, who formerly played for Devereux FC, increased the score line after a solo drive.

After the goal, Devereux still pushed on and their effort payoff well when referee Ignatius Nimley awarded a well deserved penalty to the kids after LISCR FC’s midfielder Eric Toe fouled the opponent in the penalty box.

Lafay Turay cleverly placed the ball in the far right corner which LISCR goalie Farmolu Kamara had no answer to as the match ended 2-2..

There will be no game at the ATS today, Friday, may 29, 2009 due to the wake keeping of former Lone Star coach Wilfred Lardner.

The only LFA premier match will be between USA FC and Jubilee FC at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.
