A 25 man delegation of the LISCR Football Club has finally
arrived in the Cameroonian city of Duala to honor her first
leg match in the Orange African Club Competition against
Union Duala.
The delegation arrived this morning at 4:30, but waited at
the airport for over four hours due to serious visa issue
and the host could not be found to solve the problem. The
team is lodging at a sub Stander hotel called Akena Hotel in
the city center.
The players are resting and will hold their first training
session later today. LISCR left Liberia by 3:30 am on
Thursday February 14, 2013 and made two stops in Sierra
Leone and Morocco respectively. In Morocco where the team
was in transit for eights hours, some officials of the
Liberia embassy in that country arranged transit visa for
the entire team and took the team in the city of Casablanca
until it was time to leave for Cameroon.
In another development, the club’s head coach Gabriel Johns
says the match on Sunday will be a fifty-fifty one. He
assured Liberians that LISCR is prepared to bring smiles to
her many fans and supporters back home.
