LIBERIAN DISPLAYS GENIUS IN GHANA

As a means of shaping up forms for probable overseas offers, Liberian players residing in Ghana are currently participating in a Special Tourney at the Buduburam Refugee Camp.

The Tourney, which comprises eight sturdy teams based at the Refugee Camp, is being play in preparation of the Annual Football League Season expected to kickoff shortly.

A host of brilliant players some of whom have played in other parts of Africa, Asia and in the first Division League back in Liberia are sputtering in the Tourney.

An official of the Liberian Refugee Sports Committee told Liberiansoccer that proceeds from the Special Tourney will go towards the re-fencing of the Buduburam football pitch.

“The reeds fence encompassing the busy pitch are falling and need to be replaced by concrete blocks if necessary”, the official confided.

Meanwhile, Shoes FC, tipped to win the Tourney has latched three straight wins, while York Soccer Club squeezed a 2-0 breathtaking win over Pro FC.

Roza Promotions, a family of plenty skillful youth, had earlier fell 1-3 to the star-studded Shoes FC in a match that was fiercely contested.


Pro FC, however, will have to dislocate ULFAC this afternoon to make brighter their chances of qualifying for the next stage. Shoes FC and Roza Promotions have already advanced.
