LFA Sets Date For Knockout Final Continuation

Wednesday, 18 October 2006

The Liberia Football Association has announced a date for the knockout final replay between NPA Anchors and Mighty Barrolle.

The Football Association said the game would be played this Friday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

The Technical Director of the LFA told Star Radio the teams will play for 15 minutes.

Mr.La Max Kerdoe said the action was in line with FIFA regulations.

NPA and Barrolle were playing to a 2-2 draw last Sunday when the game was called off due to poor visibility.

Mr.Kerdoe said if the 15 minutes end in a draw the teams would go to penalty kicks.

They will be playing the last 15 minutes of extra time.

Barrolle was opting for the game to be replayed while NPA insisted they wanted to play for 15 minutes.

The LFA did not say whether Barrolle would continue with ten players.

Patrick Doeplah of Barrolle was red carded during Sunday’s match.
