LFA Reports Revenue From Soft Drink Sales

The Liberia Football Association has reported it received more than
20 thousand Liberian dollars from the United States Trading Company,
the USTC.
The Treasurer of the LFA told Star Radio, the money was a share of
revenue from the sale of soft drinks during the recent nations cup
qualifier between Liberia and Rwanda.
Mr. Joseph Kun said 76 cartoons of the 200 carried at the stadium by
the USTC were sold.
He said the company was not interested in profit but was to receive
the actual cost of the product according to the agreement.
The Football House was to receive the profit from the sales.
Mr.Kun disclosed a total of 63 thousand, 840 Liberian dollars was
generated.
The LFA according to its treasurer was to pay casual workers form
its share of the revenue.
He stated that out of the 20 thousand, 520 Liberian dollars received
from the USTC, the group paid out 2 thousand Liberian dollars to
casual workers.
Mr.Kun said the actual revenue they received was 18thousand, 520
Liberian dollars.
The money has been deposited in the LFA account.
The Unites States Trading Company was given exclusive rights to sell
coca cola products during the nations cup qualifier.
This is the first revenue the LFA has received form marketing since
the new leadership headed by Counselor Izetta Wesley took over.
