LFA Recruiting Secretly For Lone Star
Sports Ministry Not Aware

Cogent reports reaching this website indicate that authorities of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) are secretly recruiting players for a pending trip to the Middle Eastern state of Yemen. Sources say, the LFA Chief Scribe Sam Polay Bedford, former Breweries defender Sebastian Collins, regarded as the Director of Football for premiership flop 2009, LISCR FC and Hazel Gray who is expected to serve as coach are calling players secretly via phone in requesting for their passports which are quickly scanned for the trip.

Reports further indicate that the trip has being arranged by the "FOOTBALL FOR HOPE”, the organization that was responsible for the setting up of the retirement match of ex-international Kelvin Sebwe where spectators were disappointed in a down pour after the publicity of the likes of DROGBA, ADEBAYOR, ETO'O and co failing to show up despite much noise of their coming by the organizers.

It is not yet clear as to whether this other hurriedly assembled squad like the one assembled for the lowly rated and unfancy Syria adventure will go under the banner of one of the country's national teams, and whether the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) is aware.

With this eyebrow raising decision, the lack of organization of the country's football is further exposed, and why was the national league which should be the fore of selecting players was held is one question that need quick answer.

The team according to reports which has had just two practice sessions is expected to leave this Friday for the Middle East. Our investigation continues.

Meanwhile, in an interview with MYS deputy Minister, Mambue Richards concerning the dubious recruitment of players by the LFA for the Middle East trip, he told this paper that the MYS was not aware of any team leaving the country in the name of Lone Star.

“We are not aware of any team leaving the country in the name of Lone Star. We have decided to halt all participations of our national football teams for now. Any group or groups taking teams from here in the name of Lone Star are doing so at their own risk,” Minister Richards noted in a telephone interview from Gbarnga, Bong County.
