LFA Premiership Update

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) produced
more fireworks in just the first two days after the second phase
opened.
In the first match of the opening of the second
phase, Liberia’s darling club, Invincible Eleven (IE) began the second
phase of the campaign with a 2-1 victory over United Soccer Ambassador
Football Club (USA) FC in Kakata, Margibi County.
IE’s new Malian striker Dumuyan rattled the net
in the first stanza before top scorer Joseph Kelleh Hina found the
match winner to see IE move up a little, while Joseph Broh got USA FC
lone goal.
At the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in
Monrovia, Devereux got her second win of the season with a 3-0
thrashing of Jubilee FC.
On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, the match of the
week was played between LFA premiership league leader, Sensational
LPRC Oilers and LISCR FC that brought in several new players.
The fans pulling match could only see both teams
settling to a goalless draw at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata,
Margibi County.
LISCR had two of her new players in the form of
Henry Zorbon Gobah and Amos Kollie, alias PY playing, but were not of
major intimidation to the oil boys.
On the same day at the ATS, Musa Bility’s Watanga
FC and Football Club Azziz Kaka (FCAK) settled to a goalless.
The league continues Thursday, July 16, 2009 at
the ATS with Jasmine Rangers battling LFA lackluster defender
Champions, Black Star that is said to be in major crisis.
