much excitement. Fans or followers of the local game are enjoying
themselves to Contemporary local football. So far, Barack Young
Controllers (BYC) is the surprise of the campaign as the youthful
outfit continues to pull surprises in the elite stage of the
Liberian game.

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2009 premiership produced
more fire works yesterday, Sunday, April 19, 2009 in four separate
venues around the country.
At the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia, Mustapha Raji’s
LISCR FC got back to winning way after a hard earn 2-1 victory over
Liberia’s darling club Invincible Eleven (IE).
Danger lad Gahanefo Kromera opened the score line in the 33 minute,
but the lead was canceled two minutes later after IE mounted immense
pressure resulting to an own goal from defense ace Emmanuel Tarpeh
who has had a superb performance to the start of the campaign to end
the first stanza 1-1.
Back from break, both sides play some entertaining game but caution
football at the well attended match.
LISCR wonder kid Gahanefo Kromera than broke the deadlock in the
60th minute to see LISCR FC collect the maximum three points.
In Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, Garmondeh Karnga’s Mighty
Barrolle collected her second win of the season with a 2-1 victory
over lackluster defending champions Black Star.
Barrolle’s Little Lewis opened the scored line in the first stanza,
but Black Star reduced the score just few minutes to the end of
first half to see a 1-1 first half score line.
Captain Nuzohn Kulala than scored his fourth goal of the campaign to
see the red and white outfit secure the vital three points.
Youthful Jasmie Rangers suffered a straight two defeat with a 2-1
defeat to league challenger Barrack Young Controller at the Nancy
Doe sports stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.
Rangers took the lead, but Andrew Swaray, alias Foday equalized
before team mate Morris scored the crucial goal to see BYC take pole
position of the LFA premier log with 13 points.
In the last match of the day, Mighty Blue Angel, the only LFA
premiership team outside Monrovia pinned NPA Anchors 1-0 at the
Unification Town sports in Margibi County.
The league continues Tuesday, April 21, 2009 with more exciting
matches.
