LFA Premiership Team Of The Month

Today marks one month since the top flight (Premiership) of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) kicked off.

There are players in various teams who have performed excellently for the period under review.
Some have won the Liberiansoccer.com player of the week and help their teams gained significant positions on the 18 teams’ premier log.

Who are they and what makes them the main men, the path finders, the trail blazers, the pick in the pack, the giants on the parks, the danger men, the assets, the linchpins and so forth is what Liberiansoccer.com Senior Reporter Roland M. Mulbah sails you through.

Formation, 4-4-2
Saylee Swen Goalkeeper-LPRC Oilers

No keen observer will have qualm that the Oilers gloves man is the goalkeeper of the month after a superb form leading his team to the top of the log. The Liberian International goalkeeper has stood between the posts 630 minutes for the Gabriel Johns’ guided side and has not conceded a goal from opened play. He has the best record in the current campaign and he is the man between the posts for our team of the week. The towering gloves man who won 18 caps for country is fresh from India where he ended as best goalkeeper in the University league in that part of the world.

Back Four
Arthur Jerry (Right Back Barrolle)
The lad has been consistent and has helped Mighty Barrolle secured third place on the table.
He is an attack oriented defender who can provide the dangerous crosses for his front men.
Gizzie Dorbor (Captain) Left Back- LISCR FC .It was not an easy thing to have the captain of such great team, but after at least six matches, we were able to select this attack oriented left back as our captain. Whenever you watch LISCR FC played, it would be a difficult thing to see the LISCR skipper in an erratic performance. He was one reason his side topped the LFA premiership for the first three months.

Central Defense Sam Peters (Mighty Barrolle)
This young kid is the joy of Mighty Barrolle defense. He has place Hallie Lahai and David Tweh in a situation where the coach will decide who to play along side the kid. Very Consistent and respectful, Sam Peters is the brain behind Barrolle’s defense.

Solomon Wisseh- Vice Captain- LPRC Oilers
Oilers captain is indeed one of the reasons teams find it difficult to score on the oil boys.
His ability to deny an opponent from getting the round leather has caused him a place on the LFA Premiership best XI.

Midfield Quartet
Robert Teah-LPRC Oilers
One reason the Oilers has not conceded a single goal from opened play so is due to the workaholic nature of their holding cum balance midfielder Robert Klaybalay Teah.
The burly marker and passer who is often used as a protective coverage for the back four has been a virtuoso performer for Oilers so far this season.

Mulbah Freeman-Jasmine Rangers
The youngster is a delight to watch. He is the key man in the Rangers attack. Good on the first touch effective at providing the element of surprise and is an ideal proponent of attacking football.

Melvin George-
NPA Anchors Every team should have its light wire and Melvin is inarguable the man for NPA. His goal scoring instinct and conjuring ball skills are reason NPA can still be considered a contender for the LFA premiership crown.

Andrew Swaray-BYC
The attacking ace is one of the reasons Barrack Young Controller (BYC) is a fearsome force in the ongoing title chase. His verve, precision and jinks in attack are qualities that catch the eyes.
He’s the leader in the youthful LFA premier club attack and can create and score with ease.

Matthew Dede-BYC Keen observers did not believe BYC would have been a strong contender for the Premiership crown. One individual who has caused the team to be such a formidable force is its top goal scorer Matthew Dede. His lanky posture causes him to be over looked at times, but it is noticed that when he is in possession he is a magician with the ball at his feet.

Weaka Wisseh-Mighty Barrolle

Weaka is no joke Barrolle’s best performer so far this season.
He can deputize in the middle of the park when the team lacks it midfielders.
With the Rollers asking for the fourth premiership crown, the gangling Wisseh will be heavily relied upon to rattle the net for the 'kanyan pepper' boys.

Reserves
Jackson Wleh-Watanga
Myers Garlo-BYC
Jacob Toe-LPRC Oilers
Joseph Kelleh Hina-IE
Justine Zeon-MB Angel
George Baysah-LISCR FC
Gus Totimeh –Jasmine Rangers
Coach of the Month-Gabriel Johns-LPRC Oilers

The team will be Coached by LPRC Oilers head coach Gabriel Johns and technically assisted by BYC head Coach Abraham Sese in the 4-4-2 formation.
