The long awaited Liberia Football Association (LFA) Knockout draw has finally been hailed at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) with both premier and first division teams being pair against the 16 second division teams.

At a well attended ceremony at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) which brought together heads of Premier, First and second division teams included the Press saw FA chief secretary general Yenquah Borsay welcome the clubs heads for the hours ceremony.

Immediately after his welcome statement the draw began with premier and first seen been pair with second division teams. Because of the combination of the 8-premier and 9-first division teams that bring the number 17 one premier and one first team was pair together to ever draw with the sixteen second teams.

LISCR F.C was than pair with Gedi and Sons. Alliance will meet Paynersville Young Controllers (PYC), BYC goes against Devereiux F.C, Bassa Defender meets Survivors, Mark Pro will engage Olympic Conquer, Premier leader Mighty Barrolle will take on Exodus, Zelors will face will United Green Eagle, Invincible Eleven engaging Electron, LPRC-Oilers will battle Fulani, Karn United will host LTC Satellite, NPA-Anchors will also host Young Pro, Mighty Blue Angels will face Haja, Monrovia Club Breweries will meet ROZA, Watanga F.C will have Millennium to face, Roots faces New Georgia Pirate, Black Star will engage Diamond F.C and USA Invader has been pair with Small Town.

For the female division which compares of 11 teams, the current Titoe United was given a back to the next stage of the competition in order to even the draw pairing.

Pro Anchors was pair with Arteries Sister, Earth Angels Vs Blamco, Kabah Vs Shooters, Koties I.E Vs Determining Girls and Queen Girls Vs Senior Pro.

At the end of the draw a member of the competition committee Mighty Barrolle Garmonda Karnga disclosed that their committee has draft several proposed for the upgrading of the Knock out competition.

He noted sponsorship was significant so as to make the Knock out competition more attracted where team will be able to walk away with some cash prize instead of just trophy.

Premiership outfit LISCR is the current Knock-out champ, and after winning the cup back to back they could make history when they emerge as winners in this year's event, as they are expected to take the highly fascinating trophy for keep.

The Knock out competition is expected to kick off on June 28.

Mustapha Visits Media Institutions Soon The President of Premiership club LISCRA F.C and Chairman on the Media Committee at the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Mr. Mustapha Raji say he will shortly visit both Print and Electronic Media institutions in the country.


Speaking to Analyst Wednesday May 31 following the LFA Knock out draw at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) Mr. Raji said his pending visit is gear toward building a good relationship between the FA and the media institutions.

According the to him the role of the medias was significant in moving our football forward and such they can not be lift behind if we are to be on par with our West African counterpart.

The pending move by the FA Chairman on Medias Committee has highly being welcome by many football followers who describe it as good and encouraging for the development of the game in the country.
