LFA Executive Committee decides new Secretary General

Reported by Horatio Bobby Willie
Thursday, 03 August 2006

The Liberia Football Association Executive Committee will this evening decide the new Secretary General of the group.

LFA President Cllr.Izetta Wesley has already had to of her nominees rejected by the executive committee.

It is not known whether the group of eight executive members who have been rejecting the president’s nominations would accept the latest one.

There are reports that Cllr.Wesley has nominated former Millennium Stars President John Rufus Ballah.

Meanwhile, International Sports Coordinator Steve David says football is being politicized in the country. Mr. David said the current happening at the Liberia Football Association has brought the game into disrepute.

He described the removal of Former Secretary General Yanqueh Borsay as political. Mr. David claimed some executives of the LFA had put together a calculated plan to remove Borsay.

He believed the action of the group has done more harm to football.
Mr. David wants the executive committee to show reasons why they remove the former secretary general.
