LFA Closes National League

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) on last Saturday officially climaxed its 2005/06 National league with a grand closing program at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

The occasion was graced by players of several teams, their officials, executives & members of the Liberia Football Association, past officials and well-wishers of the LFA league as well as members of the fourth-estate.

At the closing program, the LFA, for the first time provided cash prizes to deserving teams, players and individuals who were recognized for their splendid, superb and impressive performances during the league season.

Mighty Barolle and LISCR FC were officially certificated as 2005/06 champions and runners-up respectively while Gedi & Sons, Exodus and Cha-sey were certificated as first, second and third division champions respectively.

NPA Anchors were formerly named Knock Out Champions while Earth Angels were certificated as female champions.

The local football house named reporter Albert Jaja of Truth FM as the electronic media reporter of the year while Star Radio was named electronic media institution of the year.

The official declaration for the close of the national league was made by the president of the Liberia Football Association, Cllr. S. Izetta which received tremendous applaud and jubilation from hundreds of spectators, fans and award winners
