Division Champion Revealed

Alliance FC has emerged as champion of the
Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2009 first division.
The J. Melvin Somani boys achieved the feat
yesterday, Wednesday, October 14, 2009 when LTC Satellite failed to
turn out in Kakata when the team clinched the maximum three points
without kicking a ball.
Allance then waited for the result between
another title contender, Survivor FC, but the Clara Town based outfit
went down to Margibi County based first division club, Mighty Blue
Diamond 1-0 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia giving
Alliance the LFA 2009 first division championship, while Tony FC
booked a place in the LFA premiership with the runners-up medals.
