LBF champs off to Ivory Coast

Basketball Champions Invincible Eleven and their deputy NPA Pythons
are expected to travel to Ivory Coast at the end of September.
The teams are going to take part in the African Basketball Club
Championships.
The tournament was earlier scheduled for Niger but would now be
played now in the Ivory Coast.
The change in venue was due to an appeal by the Liberia Basketball
Federation to the organizers.
The LBF told the organizer of the competition, FIBA-Africa it would
have cost Liberian clubs more money to fly to Niger.
In a related development, the Liberia has been invited to attend the
18th FIBA World Congress.
The Congress will run from August 28 –29 in Tokyo, Japan.
The President of the Basketball Federation.Gbour Wilson and
Secretary General Fred Pratt will represent the Liberia.
The two are to leave for Japan on the 23rd of August.
