Liberia Football Association 2009 expected Premiership Most Valuable Player (MVP), Nuzohn Kulala, who recently signed a lucrative contract with Egyptian premier outfit, Ghazl El Mahalla, has hailed veteran Liberian sports analyst and Consultant, Mr. Wleh Bedell as the brain behind his breakthrough in the world popular sports, football.

In an email sent to this website, the sublimely gifted left footed striker, Kulala said “Finally, God has answered my prayers.

“I penned a three and a half year deal with Egyptian top flight club, Ghazl El Mahalla.

“God will make me succeed here in Egypt.

“If nobody in the world believes in me, I know Wleh Bedell, probably Liberia’s Best Football analyst does.

“I missed Bedell at times and I can just sit and think about the time he told me to take football serious.

“I must admit from God, he is the brain behind my success.

“I never dreamed of taking soccer as a career, but with Bedell and God, I am about to Rub shoulders with some of Africa's greatest stars,

“It is only the matter of time. I want him to use me as an example to others.

“Now I know football is life,” the master dribbler noted in tears.

It can be recalled Bedell took Kulala from Gardnersville league third division club Invaders after seeing play for just 57 minutes against Devoil Trainee, a club that brought to the limelight, pacy Liberian winger James Garmonga Zotiah to Alliance FC in 2003 where he encouraged him to take the game serious. "It was a friendly match involving LISCR FC and Alliance FC on Tusa field. After the match, he held my hand and took me to Alliance coach Nimely", continuing Kulala noted, "to my surprise, he greeted the coach and said I have a gifted kid for you. He is amongst the best in Gardnersville. Take him as a player of Alliance FC and you will see what I am talking about. I see him as a star in the making. My head swelled, and the coach said right away, no problem. Bring him to the practice ground (Tweh Farm) on Tuesday, and that was it".

According to the youngster, Bedell took him to the pitch and after the training; the coach of Alliance FC said "you are promising. Keep coming". The player would then establish himself in Allaince FC after just three try out matches. after a season where he was mainly operating as a fringe member, the left footer fell in the nest of the Rolllers after he led Alliance in a surprised fashion as they beat the red boys 5-0 on FIFA fair play day in 2003.

At Alliance FC, the calm and soft spoken striker made headways before being taken to Mighty Barrolle by veteran sports analyst Bedell where he became LFA most decorated premier player after he won the highest LFA premiership medals than any other Liberian player.

He won the LFA Premiership Golden Boots (Highest Goal Scorer), award in 2006 when the Rollers clinched its second LFA Premiership crown.

In 2009, Kulala led Mighty Barrolle as Captain where the red and white outfit clinched its third LFA Premiership award.

The LFA 2009 official closing program is set for Saturday, February 6, 2010 and Nuhohn Kulala has been named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the LFA premiership.

The LFA 2009 official closing program is set for Saturday, February 6, 2010 and Nuhohn Kulala has been named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the LFA premiership.

He and the Nigerian born Liberian striker Michael Amakaezee, thus left Allaince for Mighty Barrolle then led by Louis Brown for a record fee of LD 80,000.00. With the like of John Tarkpoh Sonkailey, Frederick Vah, Rufus Salue, George Miller and co, the Rollers were unsung and Kulala was a star in the making.

According to him, Bedell always had him at heart.

"Before a league match, he would spend the night with me cheering me up giving me guidance and motivation. He always made me to believe in myself and encouraged me to take God seriously". "After a match he would tell me all of my mistakes and even trained me personally in the morning hours and at times late in the evening", Nuzohn indicated. "He was never shy of blasting at me or any player when we went wrong or failed to perform", he hinted. The one time LFA top flight top scorer and soon to be MVP now has a crunch challenge at Ghazal El Mahalla who are twelfth on the log and whether he would deliver as he impressed during his heydays on the local scene is what many are itching to see.
