Kromah Denies Link With Kingston

The Liberian national team head coach Kadallah Kromah has denied having anything to do with a foreign-based Liberian footballer Eddie Kingston.

In a spotlight done on the player on the www.liberiansoccer.com and subsequently published by The News newspaper, it was alleged that Kingston has offered to return to the national team on several occasions, but Kromah has ignored him persistently.

The Lone Star head coach, however, rejected claims in the article that he was demanding "something" from the player before calling him on the team.

Meanwhile, Coach Kromah revealed receiving a call from the player who he said denied making the claims.

Kromah is currently preparing the Lone Star for the pending 2006 Nations and World Cup qualifiers with the Lions of Teranga of Senegal on October 10 in Monrovia.

The team lost 1-0 to the Chipoloplo of Zambia, through a goal by Kalusha Bwalya, in Lusaka early this month. So, Kromah is under pressure to secure nothing but a win after the Lone Star failed to win in three successive games.
