As She Lost To LISCR

Reports Gathered by the Liberiansoccer.com  desk say Lone Star Captain and Mighty Barrolle defense ace Vamah Kpoto is expected shortly to join ranks with huge spending LPRC-Oilers.

The robust defender has not featured in any competitive league game since the injury he sustained in the Barrolle and Invincible Eleven off season clash late last year in an aerial collision with the gangling Kalifa Kromah, but reports have it that he is on the move to the Oilers boys now under the tutelage of former National Team Coach Kadalah Kromah.

When quizzed, the Coach could neither deny nor confirm the speculation, but observer say the player is often seen in the company of players of the Oilers and officials as if they were working out a deal for Kpoto to sign on.

Pundits are suggesting that Oilers may have defense frailties, hence bringing on board ace defender like Vamah Kpoto could be an advantage for the Oilers.

At present, the team has in its fore central defense Shelton Barlee, Patrick Gwanu both of who feature for the National Team; Stanley Parker and the youthful David Tweh.

In the ongoing LFA premiership league, the Oilers have so far conceded their first defeat in five matches, and if the inclusion of Kpoto, the former Greece based defender, should come off, it could dislodge one of the center backs.

Whether or not Coach Kadalah's tactical decision or ploy will bring good tidings to the last season third placer is what many are hoping to see.

Though the defender is a bit match rusty as he has played just one major match, which was against the Senegalese Taranga Lions on March 26 this year in Dakar, at which time the Lone Star were given a baptism of fire 6-1.

Liberian soccer analysts are pondering as to how fast he would be integrated into the team and get on par with other players in his department in terms of fitness is another delicate issue.

Probably, the former Lone Star tactician is imploring a strategy his predecessor Thomas Apomah may have failed to implore.

One observer said Kpoto could be coming on to replace the Ghanaian defender Kingsley, who has left for Russia.

But there are strong questions of Kpoto status as one observer noted that he was not registered with the club, and he was not a worthy replacement since he was not in-form at present.
