Kortie: Izetta
Not a Leader

Izatta and
Kortie
As the March 20, date for election of the LFA draws near,a former
Executive Committee member of the Liberia Football Association (LFA),
David Kortie, has described the current LFA head, Sombo Izetta Wesley
as vision-less and lacks the charisma to continue to lead the LFA.
"I worked with madam Wesley for so many years at the LFA, and from all
indication her actions prove that she is not a leader. She has poor
human relations and makes enemy for herself, once one calls for an
audit or she hears something about someone without verification". Mr.
Kortie, who was expelled from the LFA noted on a sports program on
radio on Monday.
The tough talking sports administrator said madam Wesley has killed
football, and it would be expedient were madam Wesley to leave the LFA
for a visionary and business minded man like Musa Bility who can
certainly transform the LFA in making it a business empire. "Madam
Wesley has achieved nothing positive at the LFA. She has destroyed and
killed football, and needs to give way", he intoned.
He further narrated that of the three persons vying for the position
of president of the LFA (Sombo Izetta Wesley, Musa Hassan Bility and
George Wah Williams), Mr. Bility is the best and warned stakeholders
to elect him as he can make the FA flourish. "Someone like Musa Bility,
a successful businessman with huge investments is the right person to
lead the LFA", the former lawmaker stated.
On how he could grade madam Wesley when given a grade sheet to do so,
the former Invincible Eleven (IE) stalwart said, "i will give her A+
for unnecessary foreign travels and F- for Poor Human Relations". Mr.
Kortie averred that under the Izetta Wesley led administration, things
have certainly gone from bad to worse.
According to him, whenever madam Wesley returned from an international
trip, her saying was "I have just being made vice president for WAFU",
all her sayings after she returned home was "i have just being made
this, i have just being made that", he indulged.
He revealed that all madam Wesley is concerned of is herself and not
the growth and development of Liberian football. "She is never
concerned of developing the country's game, but herself", he said.
madam Wesley is not as leader. She is not the right person for the
LFA", he concluded.
