Konneh identifies national team problem

The President of LFA Knock out Champions has identified a factor responsible for the failure of the Lone Star to regain their famous 2001 form.

The Lone Star during that period almost qualified for their historic World Cup in Korea and Japan and also made it to the Mali 2002 Nation’s Cup.

But they have since failed to record those fabulous memories-performing below par in successive qualifiers.

And Mr. Sekou Konneh believes it is the lack of plan that has seen them failed to perform.

“There is no plan because if there is a plan, than there would be a sustain effort to support that plan. If you failed to plan than you plan to fail” he said.

The BYC President wants authorities put in place mechanisms that will see the rebirth of the Lone Star.

Mr. Konneh also wants by the LFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports iron out their prolong differences in the name of moving the game forward in the country.

He said it was troubling for the two groups to stay be rocked by internal confusion despite calls for them to open a new page in the name of reconciliation.
