Kojo Impressive At Coaching Course

July 17, 2006

Former Liberian international Thomas Kojo has made impressive marks at an introductory coaching course in South Africa.

The South African Football Association (SAFA) Coaching Education Manager, Conti Kubheka has showered praises on the FC AK academy coaches of which Kojo is a part for the progress they have made during the first phase of the SAFA Introductory Coaching Course.

The four-day course took place at the club's training facility and the academy base at the Voortrekker Park in Roodepoort.

The former Under-23 Coach told www.fcak: "I am very impressed with the progress of the coaches and I could see that they are doing their job out of passion because of the way in which they were committed in the duration of the course. They were never left behind but maintained the tempo that I wanted, submitted the assignments on time and they are a bunch of people willing to learn". Kubheka adds that he was also impressed with their practical work approach. "The manner in which they handled the training sessions was very impressive and one could see that they are used to working with kids however there is one aspect that we need to work, and that is the approach of coaching different age groups since there are different specifics to comply with".

The second phase of the course resumed during the second week of July and was expected to be followed by a six months period of practical work before entering the Level One coaching course
