Kid
Bomber On The Rise
Not many may be familiar with the name Morris Dukuly, probably because
he is not in the Liberian top flight. Pundits will however tell you
that the gifted kid bomber is a star of the future.
Dukuly who plies trade with first division outfit Karn United is
endowed with a strong left foot, artillery shots, good body swerves
and descent finish.
His sharp shooting ability and good attitude has won the hearts of
many. The 16-year-old prodigy is a member of the Liberia National U-17
who had the opportunity to compete with foreign players of his class
last year in the Yaya Jemi invitational tournament, where the National
U-17 of Liberia under co-coaches Francis Tamba and Navarro Sekie
featured against Guniea, South Africa, and Ghana.
“It was quite a wonderful experience. This was an opportunity to
showcase our talents, and we did so with much venom,” Dukuly noted.
The promising kid bomber began competitive football when he styled for
Gardnersville-based third division side Black Star.
After a couple of seasons, the resourceful striker who can also
feature as a wide man joined ranks with second division club Juventus
where he turned a net buster.
His asset, many say, is his long-range shots which bemused goalkeepers
in the Liberian game.
He is a kid of improvisation as he operated as a left wingback in the
U-17 trip to the Gambia where his play was outstanding.
His role model is Uruguay striker Alvaro Recoba while his favorite and
role model club is Inter Milan is his favorite club.
He aims to play in the Liberian top flight, and his current club Karn
United will have to keep rein on him if they aim to qualify for the
premiership next season.
This future great-kid bomber is keen to feature in more matches for
U-17, and is hoping that the LFA-SAFA partnership comes to the fore to
enable them prove their worth.
With single-mindedness and flair football, the future looks good for
kid bomber Dukuly.
