Kevin Sebwe to return to Lone Star

Sunday, 13 August 2006

Liberian international midfielder Kelvin Sebwe says he will return to the national team.

Kelvin Sebwe said he has decided to bury his differences with football officials and help the country qualify for the 2008 African Cup of Nations finals in Ghana.

He told Star Radio via telephone from his base in Greece that he has also encouraged other high profile Liberian players to return to the team.

The midfield maestro said he has been in contact with officials of both the LFA and the Sports Ministry in relation to the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying series.

The player is hoping that these discussions over the selection of foreign-based players would be concluded by August 15.

Kelvin Sebwe said a win for the Lone Star against Equatorial Guinea would restore the lost hope of the country’s football population.
